Setsu Precision Technology Joins AAE Group, Opening a New Chapter in Southeast Asia

Klang, Malaysia — November 2026 — Setsu Precision Technology (M) Sdn Bhd (Setsu), a Malaysian precision engineering and CNC machining company, has joined AAE Group, an international, family-owned high-tech company headquartered in Helmond, the Netherlands. This milestone marks a new chapter in Setsu’s development, building on nearly three decades of manufacturing experience while creating opportunities to strengthen its technical capabilities and expand its role in the international high-tech manufacturing sector.
Established in 1995, Setsu specialises in high-mix, low-volume (HMLV) precision CNC machining, manufacturing complex components in small production runs for machine builders, equipment manufacturers and industrial technology companies. Following a leadership transition in 2007, the company underwent significant transformation, investing continuously in its people, manufacturing capabilities, quality systems, technology and Industry 4.0 initiatives. Today, Setsu employs more than 60 people, operates approximately 50 production machines and holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certifications. Its achievements include the Productivity Award in 2010, Lean Management Award in 2018, and Malaysia Smart Manufacturing Award, alongside the establishment of an ISO Class 6 cleanroom.
AAE develops and manufactures complex technological solutions, systems, modules and machines for high-tech industries, including semiconductors and medical technology. By combining Setsu’s established precision machining expertise, flexible HMLV manufacturing capabilities and local manufacturing knowledge with AAE’s advanced engineering, precision module and automation expertise, the group aims to address increasingly complex technical requirements and support customers with a broader range of integrated manufacturing solutions. Setsu’s established relationships with customers and industry partners provide a strong foundation for this next phase of development.
Looking ahead, Setsu will progressively develop into AAE Southeast Asia (AAE SEA), building on its existing manufacturing strengths while expanding into the production of complete high-tech systems and modules. Planned developments include enhanced cleanroom and assembly capabilities, qualification, further manufacturing automation, and the integration of New Product Introduction (NPI) and co-engineering capabilities. The group is also preparing to relocate to a modern manufacturing facility of approximately 10,000 m² in the Klang region, providing additional infrastructure to support future growth, broader manufacturing capabilities and a clean, controlled production environment.
For Setsu, joining AAE Group represents an opportunity to build on the capabilities, relationships and experience developed over the years while accessing broader engineering expertise, technology and international resources. As AAE Southeast Asia takes shape, the focus will be on developing a stronger regional manufacturing and engineering platform that can support customers from initial product development through to series production. This next chapter reflects Setsu’s continued commitment to technical excellence, quality and customer collaboration, while opening new possibilities for its people, customers and partners.
